It's obviously the 'rallye' special super limited edition model.

Advert is being written and advertised over the weekend for £1450 but less to a PHer.
Would this be the one for sale at Hagstrom in Wymondham a while back by any chance?

I like 80/90's saloon cars lowered on steel rims. That Volvo is very nice.
I love lightly modified 240s. Had that been an estate, I would have been very tempted. I need a reasonably sensible car that will cost beans to run for general London duties and hauling stuff around throughout a house refurbishment...

Pah! What manner of spendthrift spaffs a whole 5K on an old car when you can get one for a bag of sand? I had a jolly weekend jaunt up to Maccam Land to collect me thousand quid late 80s Beemer. I will write the car up in Readers' Sheds after I've done some work to pay for the buggah.

Yes that's the one! The chap who owned it took it there for most of its maintenance, and eventually after 20 odd years of ownership, p/x'd it for an estate. That place is old Saab heaven, I could of bought all of them!

after junior honked egg sandwich and milk all over the velour seats it really had to go.
And that is why the second hand market likes leather!

Whimps! I once had had an E30 325i with pale cloth seats that someone bled profusely all over, but the stains washed out surprisingly easily.

The seats in the 525 are chocolate brown, or, as I tell my girlfriend, Marron, darling. I dropped some melty Aero chocolate on them yesterday, while driving in a careless Clarkson fashion not holding the steering wheel properly, if at all. Invisible. Win!

We had an E34 525 as a family bus for a while, in red, same wheels as yours. I really miss it, although after junior honked egg sandwich and milk all over the velour seats it really had to go.
IME a proper wet hot vac, a rental Rug Doctor sort of thing, with the right cleaning fluid will right that wrong. Shifted all kinds of horror stories, mostly dog-related I think, out of my E39 5-er Touring.
