He was a cheeky fecker and said your Merc looked ghey, Lowtimer. Very spacious, that boot, as I stopped at a trucker place on the A1 when heading back south, and did the usual with a couple of the standard issue hookers. I had to cut the bodies up a bit, but they both fitted in. What was that recommended stain remover, again?

BMW in "resists car bloatage" SHOCKA. Most cars that have gone through several iterations have become heyewaaaargely mahoarsive compared to their old selves, but 2014 Bimmerfive not a whole lot bigger than 1990 Bimmerfive:

Amazing for the money! Best wheel trims ever in my eyes too but that might be rose tinted from my parents one.
Wrong wheel trims though, they are GLX wheeltrtims and that Mondeo is an LX.

Is your BMW lower on the right hand side or did you accidentally wear the wife's wooden leg when you went to pick up the car?

Local petrol station built on slope to allow oil leaks from my old sheds to run off.

Pah! What manner of spendthrift spaffs a whole 5K on an old car when you can get one for a bag of sand? I had a jolly weekend jaunt up to Maccam Land to collect me thousand quid late 80s Beemer. I will write the car up in Readers' Sheds after I've done some work to pay for the buggah.

That certainly doesn't look its age, well done Mr.BV72 sir! If I wore a hat I'd be doffing it in your general directiuon.

(Minus five points though for managing to use 'wantage' on PH before me, I've been meaning to drop it in deftly somewhere for a while now wink).

I'm sure I read once that old BMWs sit lower on the right hand side so that when a driver gets into the driving seat (on the left) it balances out. Of course they did not switch that round for RHD!

As a rather offbeat choice does anyone fancy a reasonably-sized Yank?

http://www.custojusto.pt/porto/ligeiros-passageiro...

It's a 1988 Plymouth Reliant and it's up for €3,750 in Portugal.

Just imagine driving back to Blighty in all that velour goodness.

I did Nashville to Detroit in one of those once. Longest road trip of my life. Awful, awful, awful.
