I love an old Volvo, and I love an £87000 Bentley soft-top. Your post gives me both!
Oops! Alas the Bentley isn't in budget. Here's the Volvo: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C665211

If we're after spending £900 on a blue Volvo why not get an S90 (960) Luxury Edition?

It's done 150k with a full service at 147k, it's got all the bells and whistles and they all work. Full leather/alcantara interior too.

Wonderful.

Seems slightly expensive, but wonderful nonetheless.

That's really cool. Shaped like a brick and with TURBO written on it, nice.

Wow the quality has really improved in recent postings.

OK....one lady owner 1976 brown metallic LHD Sweeney Granada from new, 60,000 miles £2, rusty arch and in southern Sweden but otherwise looks Pintotastic, this would complete my car collection but no space to store it.
Enjoy....

Anyhoo have been able to resist because I have had my dinner.

Love the rear end, very definitive and original too.
A practical roomy classic, independent suspension with easy mechanicals.

Haha yeah would have Sweeney tourettes driving that (or even as a passenger).
Randomly shouting into a suitably shaped label maker or similiar attached to a curly cord "Roger 2/4", "get two squad cars" "Tell those zombies on the fifth floor they can stick it" "villains" "Bluddy Hoskinzz" etc. and the ultimate was "You WHAT" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFeJAe4f9g0

Very similar to my old Consul 2.5V6. BPT990L I think it was
Cracking old bus it was, way faster than my old MGB

True, but I'd have expected that to be easily within the 0-5k budget, indeed, think it still should be.
