Car of the week for me! Love it

This looks similar to a recent thread purchase in JRG (was it L100NYY)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-520i-VERY-ORIGINAL-1...

Looks lovely. I fondly remember various 5's that my Dad had as company cars back in the day. He only had a couple with these cracking cross spokes, though, for the most part they were 520i with hub caps. Which, although I'm being biased, were the best hub caps ever produced...
I toyed with the idea of putting steel wheels and those hub caps you mention on mine...
Ahem

Some history of the company on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gilbern

One of the few welsh car companies, so the dragon fits!

Remind me where we are again...I'm flabbergasted that this should be a necessary link here.

Yeah, I know, but time passes... most of the people on PH weren't even born when Gilbern folded.

Nova only has 8000 miles from new. To be fair, if I had a Nova I wouldn't drive it either biggrin

[Geek] That appears to have the fuel cap from the later K-series engine model so it must be one of the last of the A Series cars. [/geek]

A few of my friends had them as first cars. Dog slow but quite good fun to throw around.

That he did. It is ace.

Mine has the extra half a litre for OMG LEPTONZ. Also I only paid a grand for it. Had it five weeks, driven it a lot, spent nowt on it save petrol and tax and insurance thus far.

That 520i (a) has been given a silly name by its whimsical owner, and (b) has blebbage behind one door.
