Plainly from the article that LT links to the model had its flaws, but the GT ones don't sound too bad. There are lots of American cars that I have never heard of, but not all of those are dire. I was at an American muscle car show in Toronto a few months ago - the sheer variety of types on display was amazing. I saw lots of things that I had never before heard of, as well as all the usual suspects, and some of the unknowns seemed rather fab.

I really like American cars, even bad ones, but most of them I only like in America. The only Septic tank I ever feel I would enjoy in this country is an early Corvette, ideally a '66 or '67.

Don't think it's a Sweden reg plate on it though.

A one model year only non-Northstar Cadillac STS Seville:

Shame the watermark obscures the Cadillac key.

This looks pretty good and might suit some (not my taste, tbh).

The price of £1993 is oddly specific.

I wonder if the seller would accept an offer of £1992.

Merc does look nice.

Not worth a penny over £1988.

The silver Fiero advert had this as an eBay serving suggestion at the bottom:

It was featured in that DVD (which wasn't very good) to highlight the weaknesses of the Saab Sensonic gearbox.

I somehow don't feel that it's really a piece of motoring history (although the seller would like to convince you it is)

I love how blunt he is in the advert, it sounds like he's sold more than his fair share of cars over the years laugh

Hearing aid beige outside, grandma's sofa orange on the inside and built at about the lowest point for the British car industry.

Yet I can't hate it for some reason.....

And when was the last time you saw a 'static strip' on a car (this one seems to have been owned by someone who's a follower of the 'more is more' philosophy of car accessories)?
Could be a nice Granada under the tat....

1981 was well into the successful tenure of Michael Edwardes (in fact he left in 1982), and so was not, I would say, the lowest point for the industry. Edwardes had sorted many of the problems by then, and BL was on the way to its 1980s recovery.

Haha, is that what those dangling thingy is!? I always wondered what they were for.

I am ashamed to admit that I really like the look of those wheels!

That looks very tidy, if a bit plain looking inside given the Ghia spec. Looks like it is very important that everyone knows this car has FUEL INJECTION. I wonder what that badge given pride of place on the grille is?

Thread Purchase! (sort of)

I only went to look out of interest, as not much interesting stuff pops up for sale down here. Ended up doing a deal there and then. Paid £500 Extremely good condition, very pleased with it so far, I've always liked these smile

I haven't seen a static strip since my mate's M-reg Astra that he inherited from his grandmother.

And I've always wondered why some old people used to stick tat like that on their cars. Is the 'INJECTION' sticker from a Vauxhall of the period?
