I bought my last car on that very basis. Had to add £60 instead of a kebab though.

Sixty quid? Sounds like a London kebab (a small one anyway).

Red top and RWD, this might be the only Astra I like eek
Whilst I like it, I can't help but think a Chevette is basically the same but lighter and far easier to convert to an XE.

Yes, rather than Astra GTE Mk1 type as the boomerangs are black. On the Astra they were silver or white

I know it's not up and running, but there should be enough within budget to get it on the road. And who doesn't love a white Audi eh? tongue out

I'd seriously doubt that's get on the road in budget once bidding is done.

Like it a lot though.

Well it wouldn't be in budget after some air ride, big(ish) rims and a 20v Turbo lump in biggrin

5 reckon it deserves something more interesting than a 20v, perhaps a rotary? Something needs doing since they seem to have forgotten to fit a motor at the factory

I didn't know an interesting Audi ever left the factory, been so overwhelmed with their sea of bland that this is quite refreshing.

Technical it's not an Audi, but the brand Audi grew from. They made some funky stuff in the past. In fact some of the Audi models for Europe in the early 70's is quite cool smile
