£4500.00

Parents test drove a grey one of these brand new back in 1990'ish. I love them. Would have to lose the rear spoiler though.....

For 4500? Not an Integrale, I know, but still seems oddly cheapo.

About right for a Turbo, this Martini sold for £7728 last year which was very strong money imo.

It was owning one of these for a few weeks (ownership truncated due to terminal bork) back in the early '90s that convinced me I needed an Integrale.
It was my first hot hatch and coming from an X1/9 it felt like a rocketship.

The Intrgale I followed it up with was one of only 2 cars in my life I regret selling (the other an Exige).

I thought that Delta turbos would cost more, but I suppose that the headbangers only want Integrales, so you could get a pleasant, quick, non mentalist and RHD car for a sensible amount. Then you would go insane at every fuel stop telling Barry Boys that no, it's not a fleckin' Integrale.

Headbangers don't want Integrales, BV. To a large part of the PH massive these days it's firmly positioned in the "dangerously slow" category, as well as being hilariously outdated, fashion-wise, innit.

Personally I love 'em, and get quite a twitching in my wallet every time I see one in the car park at Walkers just down the road.

Was there ever a more '4-wheel driftable' car !

Back in the 80s when my circle of friends all had a hot hatch or two, one of us moved on from a succession of unreliable Strada 105/130s to these. Very quick and handled well - he had 2 in a row
Sadly the integrale he replaced the last one with turned out to be a Wallet Hoover in disguise

That makes the A5 out to be an aesthetic improvement

You see, I like the fact that it would have been easier to do a Manta, probably cheaper too. I have a 60's Beetle with 200 bhp, it would have been easier (and way, way cheaper) to buy a 911. But that wouldn't be as much fun biggrin
Sounds good. 'Built to the hilt' Type 1 in the back? Is there a reader's car thread?

Following on with another old Audi (or Audi's Dad)...

Yes it is tiny isn't it? I know someone that's stufing a rather large turbo'd Beetle engine in one of these to go racing.

No thread on it, it's been built for years. Although it's been off the road for the past few years after I cacked the gearbox racing it. It should be back on the road in the next month or so though biggrin

It's a 2276cc Type 1 motor, 48 IDA's, lots of head work. It goes pretty well!
