I think it does, in pic 5. Hard to tell, but looks like it. Virtually a practical MPV!

I think these are good looking cars. Quite a lot of Soviet cars were well styled.

It is a good spot. The few I have seen for sale here have generally been priced at a fair bit more than that.
..It is listed at £19k, has it gone up in price or are you saying they're usually more than that?

Whenever I've seen one or similar for sale (not always in the UK) I am pretty sure they've been significantly less.

It is a lovely looking thing. I wonder what it is like to drive though. I imagine it is far better in the back than the front!

Looks like a bloody good starter classic:

Have people put BMW straight-six engines in these?

Assuming you're referring to the Daimler, I'd imagine it's pretty awesome in a straight-line-with-a-long-run-up sort of way.

It has gone up in price - unless I and another poster misread it. I believe it was listed at £1900, so a '0' missing - certainly that's how I read it.

..Thought that might be the case, otherwise it obliterated the thread budget! Yes £1900 would be a good price, and I'd have thought anything upto £5k would have still been reasonable.

Yes I was. I should have quoted the post really since it gets confusing when they're broken up.

The Daimler should handle reasonably well I imagine, since they're based on the Jaguar MkX.

Remember this image of how pristine it looks now because that'll be on the banger track this time next week.

Agreed!

It's probably got some life in it for cheap motoring. Even retro is pushing it - though don't forget it's now 23 years since the Mondeo was launched (I feel old)!

For a car they made so many of there appear to be very few that didn't get squashed into cubes.

I like it. I definitely wouldn't buy one though and certainly not at £1.5k.

A shame if so, that looks like comfy and incredibly cheap motoring. There are other old fords in the background of some of the photos so I'd hope it's a genuine ad.

Yep, not retro in my mind at all but other opinions are available!

It was up at £1900, I thought it was cheap as they're nearer £5k ish. £19000 is laughable!

A MK1 Audi TT replica for the same sort of money as the genuine article:

Optimistic...
Doesn't necessarily fit very well with the thread, but as someone who regularly has a gander at kit cars for sale, these 'Banhams(?)' always struck me as one of the most pointless.

I can imagine afew silly sausages doing these in the years after the mk1 TT was released, but now? Surely one of the most undesirable kit cars out there (and Im rather fond of 'Covin' Beetles).

I wasn't sure on the wheels, however on reflection I like them!

I just know this would be a very bad car to try running as a daily, but would love to try! The Lexus in the drive is kind of reassuring in a 'the owner is a PH type of chap' way.
This made me angry until I ran the plate through Autotrader and found it wasn't really an original V8-S. No headlight wipers and shiny bumpers were the clue along with the nin V8-S interior.
