Wow! That car is greeeeeeeeeey. The inside is even greyer. They certainly could make grey cars back in the 80s! I was studenting then, and had forgotten until just now how popular grey was - grey cars, grey clothes, grey teeth, Grey Gowrie. OK, not him. Everyone thought he was a knob.
Fade to Grey!
You forg0t the shoes. I will never forget the grey shoes. Every advertising space salesman in publishing wore them in the '80s.Fade to Grey!

I like survivors like this - 33k miles but £4.5k! http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C649117
With the fastback shape, these are sort of like an early CLS (too far?!).
This doesn't appeal at all. A Vitesse maybe, but a 2 litre automatic Rover 800?With the fastback shape, these are sort of like an early CLS (too far?!).
The motoring equivalent of Valium surely.

MG Rover ZTT SE 260 V8
pearlescent paint too. Not sure how long it will remain within thread budget though.
Typhoon Monogram paint. I loved mine. It was just the 2.5 V6 though. I've been watching this EBay car but really have zero use or space for it. MG Rover ZTT SE 260 V8

Still want it.
Here's mine. Now dead I think. It was a rare car in so many ways. Allegedly built for John Towers it was one of the last MK1s off the line.

1985 Audi 80 Sport with just 17,000 miles. It must be the most original example in the UK.

Slightly over the budget but with no history a sensible offer should get it.
I've always like the look of these.
The condition ofthis is remarkable - not only is its mileage extraordinary, it also looks to have always been kept garaged and cared for. It genuinely looks like the sort of thing that would have stood outside a VW-Audi dealer as a demo car in the mid '80s. Remarkable. I wonder if it still smells of new VW? They had quite a strong and distinctive smell, IIRC. Surely it is unrepeatable for an Audi fan.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321995597728

This looks to be a good car for the money, if it lives up to its (annoyingly tiny, as ever) Car & Classic pictures. One very odd thing though; it has the wrong glove box door. Why on earth is that?Talking of retro 'hot' hatches.....
My first car was an early MG Metro and it was an absolute hoot so this one should be great fun;
Bored out to 1293cc etc etc

Now that the pug 205 is officially voted best hot hatch im drawn to that underdog Metro which has some excellent tweaks, credit to the owner. The velvet crush seats appears to suffering from MAMIL sag.
Jag XJ6 WTF LWB Cab - when you can have a full length webasto this seems a bit pointless.................and yet interesting full cabriolet with with LWB and rear doors for the inlaws / kids . Bit pricey as not MOT'ed. New paint but whats happening underneath!

As soon as I saw the picture I thought ex wedding car.... Looks very wrong IMO. Quite like the coupe conversions but this doesn't float my boat at all. Hilarious ad. Bonus rubbish photos: not one showing the whole blooming car. Cool wheels, but how do we know that there are at least four of them?
Note that work has been "provisionally done". To borrow the idiom of the advert, this is all "to mush"!
