Needs a bit of work...
I used to have a maroon one back in the late 80's. Great fun and very capable machine.

That celica looks good, apart from the bonnet bulge which resembles a laboratory monkey undergoing brain tests

Cheerful yellow banana.

That looks a long list but it's pretty simple. It needs a proper full suspension rebuild, a new exhaust, new tyres and a light bulb. Bargain.
Exactly, someone got a bargain!
Not so sure about that.

Remember the MOT only looks at certain things, it is not an exhaustive list of everything that is wrong with the car.
That's true, however it does tell you what's required in order to make the car roadworthy. On that basis I'd have bitten his hand off at just over 1k.

I checked the MoT hisory too and initially thought 4 new shocks and springs, but was concerned about the emissions test results and how long it had been standing.

Blimey that is cheap, but needs recommissioning.
Those GSs are very cool IMO, comfy hatchback with air cooled flat 4.
The suspension saved my life (long story) in Merthyr Tydfil 1989.
The pickup looks dire but would give you a self levelling position and even help with load by raising or sinking so makes sense. Stiff money though.
These are under the radar, blooming quick turbo, the italian Michelotti styling was a travesty but is starting to look quaint.

Looks better in grey but only a 1.4. Better than st is still not nice though.

The ugliness killed a car maker, bloody criminal that everyone said, Yeah thats the ticket!
Very light...... And seriously quick mid-range with the Silvia Turbo engine

It's PistonHeads Anonymous. I'm wondering which stage of the 12 step plan you're at with the roster of regret?

When an advert extolls the virtues of a cars multi play cassette stereo as a "retro" plus point, you know it's a load of old toot.

You should know better BV wink

Wow.
That looks to be in amazing condition. Last time I was in one of those was a friend's car at Uni, over 20 years ago now, and the wheel arches on that one were 1% metal, 1%paint, 18% rust and 80% gaffa tape.... the rest wasn't much better! But it didn't 'arf go well smile

Superb car in its day, I had one too but it had to go as there was more rust than car in the end. Didn't like spirited driving either, well it did, great roarty engine, but you couldn't use the brakes too much as the inboard front discs overheated fairly quickly hehe
