Nice CRX just dropped in price from 6K down to the 5K budget

Another one I loved from a few years back
Toyota Corolla GTI had a few of these, brilliant car IMO
This one needs some attention on the body (like they all did) but completely standard, one previous owner and 60,000 miles got to be worth saving

Both lovely. The CRX was my dream car in sixth form. Held their value unbelieveably well ....after 3 years @75%.
This 1.3 X 1/9 oooof, same place.
Pity they whiplash decapitate taller torso drivers.

How would one of these compare to a 205 or the like for driving interest?

This one seems very clean and in budget http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C711183#

I've no personal experience of them however they seem to get good reviews on how they drive/handle. Perhaps not just as raw as the 205 but I'd imagine they'd be good fun. That looks very expensive though.

50,000 miles from new, the ad says 2 previous keepers eBay say 4 so I don't know what is going on there!

I like these, especially since they don't seem to have held their value at all compared to the likes of the CRX. Some bargains out there if you can find a good one.

I had the deep misfortune to own one of these about 18 years ago.

I kept it a month. Which was a month too long.

A bit of haggling should see you creeping away in this beauty for within budget

I won't comment on price, but I maintain my 2001 was the sweetest handling car I've ever owned (see profile for the competition!). Makes a drift God of anyone in slightly damp conditions smile

Absolutely brilliant cars, not sure I'd call them either classic or retro though. Also that's a lot of money to pay for one, I bought mine (2003, red, 76k) for £1800 and it's great, no need to pay nearly £5k for a good one.

I'd wager a few quid it looks nothing like that photo at the moment. Someones tried to break in to it, it's been stood for a year and the owner is ill...

The way I see it is as a cheap and reliable Elise type car. It's expensive but in very good condition with low miles.
