I wonder what this needs to make it a reasonable runner. £1,800. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C711653

Pence to make it run nicely. Body restoration costs a different story, they can be very rusty.

First post. Don't be too mean. Felt this ought to appear here, apologies if it's already been posted and I missed it.

Wrong thread, there is already a barge thread and that's way way too over budget to post

Those mirrors are from the basic spec car not the GL aren't they? Good spot though!

Fantastic. I remember a friend's dad had one like this, complete with 100k miles and lots of rust. I remember thinking 'how on earth can the cosworth have anything in common with this'!

Keep posting. Remember the cars don't have to be good, just old and retro!

Blimey, would much rather have one of those than a Golf.
Decade long prophecies of high values yet to materialise, I blame the robot face.

Getting rare now in nice condition and standard, do the few jobs it needs to make it really nice and the price is only going to go one way ^^^^^ smile

The VR6 is the only one that seems to be making strong money couple on eBay asking 7k plus . The 2.0 16 valves like these don't seem to have taken off yet.

OMG that is sooo close to my old Sud - same colour, same model, similar surprisingly good condition, only 2 digits out on the reg number.

Great car, and more reliable (and less rusty) than any of the other Alfas I've had. <sigh>

These MR2 pics got me looking at them. I know it's got a bodykit (no idea if that's an OEM one or aftermarket), but I like it boxedin

Whilst I'm not a fan of replicas, you can get a relatively decent Ford RS200 kit for this model of MR2.

I am slightly biased towards being in favour of these MR2s thanks to an eventful evening with a nurse in one in the car park at a wedding about 10 years ago!!

Nice 240

I would love another 240 GLT estate... Can't find an estate so a saloon will have to do!

Brings back memories smile I had a 16v in white, 88 F plate back in 94/95 and I loved it. Looks so tiny and dumpy now though but back then it was the bees knees!

Paint is tidy but being a pre facelift probably drinks oil like it does petrol.
