I had a silver FIAT and then a two tone silver/grey Bertone VS. Many happy times had in both.
I'm sure you had a point, I'm just not sure what it is.
Sorry, great car, I loved both of mine, Bertone is a very cool badge, someone should definitely buy it. The Mk1 MR2 was better, but I'd take the X1/9 every day of the week.

I looked at that Cappuccino earlier, but the silver over spray on the front wheel put me off

Good spot!

Linked from that was this Suzuki Mighty Boy, great name for a car but I'd never heard of it before. 550cc pickup truck biggrin

That could go in the "cars you didn't know existed "thread.

Another obscure Kei car I'd never seen before.

Looks fun.

Same thoughts here. Also...

It's certainly in very good condition but it's a bit of a 'meh' car. I owned a Sapphire 2 litre DOHC about 20 years ago, my first car that wasn't a banger, and even with all the rose tinted nostalgai it wasn't a great car. Slow, very slow gear change with an enormous throw, slow steering and barge like handling. Not a car that would have been featured on PH when new.
I had a 1.8 on an 'H' plate when it was virtually new and I liked it alright but then I got a 2.0 DOHC while mine was in for service.

Completely different car in my mind. It went like a rocket in comparison and loved the gearshift on it. IIRC that was the one with the synchromesh in reverse right?
It felt fast compared to my previous 1.6 Pinto Sierra, but compared to my mates cars it was slow. I remember being shown a clean set of heals buy a Nova 1.4 SRI, which was quite embarrassing. Fast enough once you got up a head of steam, but not quick off the mark.
Yes it had a synchro on reverse

Those I4 engines weren't the best - they suffered with a few problems, the cam chains could snap ( and scrap the engine ), cracking heads.... Esp if overheated .....and the spray bar could block if you didn't change the oil. They were a bit of a stopgap till the Mondeo arrived really. The older Pinto was a lot hardier and easier to do stuff on imho.never going to be a rocket off the mark though weighing as much as a new GT86 and only 2/3rds the poke. Cars were set up very 'soft' as well back then compared to modern family saloons

Look's like there is some nice cars going through ACA this month. Been a few times there estimates aren't far off on most. A couple I have seen there that I like

Mini Cooper. Been after one of the last Coopers with a sport pack for years and this one looks great in tahiti blue. I think if I don't act soon they will be out of my budget.

One from Sweden, £1700, Dadwagontastic.
Cheap, five door, tow bar, awesome colour, reasonable economy and performance, and a bit different.

I used to run those as my demo when I first started in the motor trade. Great fun driving

There's something about the original Espace. Not sure I could articulate exactly what though.

Yeah love the espace. Strangely i prefer the original styling, even though that facelift still looks fresh in my crumbly eyes. https://www.flickr.com/photos/jonathansulo/sets/72...
The swedes call these louvres "a chicken staircase" which nails it biggrin
Price is vehheerrry tempting and given the shabby bodywork must be hagglable

I have always wanted one of these. Great car for London, as high speed crash safety is less of a worry. Speed bumps are these days, sadly - now everywhere.

A nice E30 325i SE with LSD and with BMW Manual Gearbox 2 door if you can find one for £0-5000 would be a nice fun daily driver :-)

Was that dash and wheel/gearstick treatment standard on the late originals ? Lets down what is otherwise a very cool car.
