A good honest ad. I have always rather liked these: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C771701

Some decent wheels and lose the tacky DTM exhaust and I'd like that a lot.
What wheels would you put on? RS four spokes? Ghia alloys?

I'm not sure about the lack of rear door handles. Some low level single roof rails may work? I just checked the Passat GL5 roof rails but they have two bars as I seem to remember the 80s Granada roof rails being.
I'd go with something like Granada Ghia wheels.

If not them specifically then maybe something similar. OZ rally?
They're five bolt though

Mark 4/5 Cortina ghia alloys

From that angle it looks like an FIAT Uno with a stretched nose

I forgot about the later 2.8i Capri 7 spoke strafish/petal design with the flush RS centre cap. They may work.

Horrid wheels but a good, solid car.

Some great wrecks on here.

What's happened to all the Carltons and Senators? I had a Senator with square exhausts for a while and it was a brilliant car.

While I wouldn't personally wish to add a racing stripe to my road car, the SD1 did have a notable racing career, so I'm not sure why it's seen as particularly inappropriate to the type

You have an informed interest in wheels. Who makes the majority of popular standard fit alloys with a small " m" on them? They appear on all sorts of cars and seem " par for the course" ?

I know Fuchs, as in the classic Porsche 5 spoke, make a whole load of wheels, for all VAG marques, Mercedes, Volvo, BMW/Mini/Rolls, GM etc

Maybe not very classic or retro but there can't be many of these left
Vectra 2.5 GSI 12 months MOT £750

And from the same seller as the Vectra, a Nova 1.4 SRI with a 2.0 red top!

GSI Vectra I recall a test drive in one of those when they first came out.

A great sounding engine - it didn't have the best front end and lit up the tyres with little provocation (possibly the fault of the rubber).

One less V6 Vectra on my account I'm afraid.

It was a great engine, but as you say the traction wasn't really up to the power, especially on a wet B road with a stone bridge in close proximity.
