I used to have the 1.7 P4. I loved that car, but the pedal offset used to give me cramp in my right foot on long journeys to the extent that I'd end up operating the throttle pedal with my left foot for short spells.

You'd need to be on some very heavy medication to want to pay three and a half grand for a thirty year old 1.1 Fiesta. I paid £80 for one of these about seven or eight years ago.

Totally agree. For a grand, an old basic Fiesta (with a few more miles) is a nice little novelty runabout. For three and half, there are some much nicer cars you could buy.

The automatic box (not sure if CVT) might put some off. KGF classics had an uglier 460 with slightly less miles for £1195 last year, so that 440 is a relative bargain for a Volvo 400 series fan.

I had a Scala GT2 in the late 90's. The brakes were absolutely shocking on them (might as well be made of chocolate).

Apart from that I loved that car, mine was that nice jade (?) green they did for the rocco.
