made my mustard yellow Mini Clubman look positively stylish by comparison laugh
'Honey Starmist', iirc. Had a Viva that colour.

Just stuck my Dad's Austin Princess 2200 HLS up on ebay. He bought it in 1984, it's first three years were spent with Essex Police. It's unusual as I've never heard of another Austin Princess used by the police.

It's got a front antiroll bar which again is none standard. I had a 2200 HL; this car was lower and stiffer. It handled way better than the standard car with quick steering and vastly improved agility yet still rode brilliantly. Why this wasn't standard issue I don't know, I'm sure many more would have sold.

I used to go to school in this car and had my first drive in it.

My Dad had a 2.2 HLS of the same vintage, in poo brown with poo brown vinyl roof and beige velour interior - it was a thing from the land that taste forgot.

When he traded it for a 2.8 Granada we all cheered!

Has anyone else noticed a change in eBay motors search function recently? I haven't used it for a while and now I'm finding it hard to use... I don't want to filter my search by category or manufacturer ffs! I like to list by distance to postcode within a price bracket and see what takes my fancy. Seems impossible to do that now?

Not sure if this allowed, feel free to remove it if it isn't, but this is my dad's 1982 Audi 100 and it would be nice for it to go to someone who will enjoy it.

That looks great, good luck to him and I hope it goes to an enthusiast.

It is a pain I don't know why they have done it! If you want to search Classic cars click on classics cars go right to the bottom of the page and it will say "View all results" click this and it will go back to the old way, then you can search by distance, newly listed etc. I hope this makes sense smile

Commanders are nice and a little unusual.
I like Commanders.

However that isn't a Commander wink
I know, it was more of a suggestion than acknowledgement. wink

Sounds like a lot of memories. Sentimental value is surely greater than its actual market value. Keep it!

Used to be so common - a brand new one of those was the first fast car I drove.

Felt like a rocket after an 1100 Mini smile
