Different strokes and all that.

I quite like it, but for the purist the obvious ones are tyres, number plates and it being lowered. All correctable, but adds to the cost.

Looks lovely but could be hiding all sorts of rot...Ad says there is no rust, but previous MOT fail says "nearside rear Seat belt anchorage prescribed area is excessively corroded inner wheel arch" hmmmm

My mates brother gave us a lift home from school in his (jury still out) white Corolla Gt 16v about 25 years ago.

He drove like an utter clown, I've been in more dangerous situations since then, but to this day it's the most scared I've ever been in a car...

I've always had a thing for very low Merc saloons (pre-W124) and that looks great. Sure it'd rather compromise the driving experience though and the plates would have to go.

Not to be pedantic but the correct term is actually "Jewish Racing Yellow". See Alan Clark's Diaries for more. If you call it JRG you're taking away half the joke.
JRG - Jewish Racing Gold was how I had always heard it.
Are you missing the point, or am I about to get a parrot?

Every day's a learning day, thanks bb. Internet searching does indeed support the JRY description of gold. I blame PH smile For here is where I've picked up the term. Next time I'll get it right,

Have you seen the pictures?

I thought the white wall tyres and illegal number plates were fairly obvious.

Its a homologation special with a fairly sweet high revving 1.3. these are cracking little cars, they were bound to start going up in value.

I remember the local Peugeot dealer apologizing for giving me a red S1 Rallye as a courtesy car when my 309 was in

Yeah, but they're not the actual car per se, and only a few hundred pounds to rectify.

from the pics, yes, but from the description:

"I cant get the drivers door to open, the passenger side opens from the inside only & The boot opens on the key from the outside. " hmm, that's a disadvantage

been sitting for 20 years and exhaust is rotted away, I suspect the whole underside may be the same

Nice looking car. I prefer that to the Manta.

There's a recently recommissioned one here for £4250, so interesting to see what the eBay one ends up selling for.
