Awful
I've had my share of Issigonis's little car and wouldn't have another if you paid me.
THat one looks pretty rough around the front panel seams and probably not a standard colour

I don't get the appeal of them at all. Small, incredibly old tech now and just a bit st.
Oh and not at all safe in a crash. If I was going to take a guess as to why road deaths in the 60s were a lot higher than they are today despite their being a lot less cars on the road back then i'd say it was due in no small part to death traps like the Mini.

All very true. Also unreliable, poorly built, full of design faults they never fixed, a sod to work on, noisy, uncomfortable, cramped, and as you say a bit st all round. I still thoroughly enjoy driving them though hehe

Jesus, a bit harsh. To be honest any classic is going to be absolutely terrible in a crash. No doubt you have a massive 4x4 to keep you safe!

A lot of money, but it is nearly new!
Truly hateful things to drive, My wife had one when I met her, a J reg , 12 months old, she'd bought it new on the advice of her father , it was some sort of ltd edition, I think the LTD was just the stickers because it had no equipment in it at all, 1.1 ,4 speed gearbox.

we booked a last minute holiday to the US and I had to drive it 250 miles to heathrow, I hated every minute I was in it , drove it back and PX'd it that week

5k, I wouldn't pay £500 for one even if it was still new
"My" first car was a J reg 5 door Fiesta Popular Plus, I say my but it was mum's and it ended up with my sis when I bought my first proper car a B reg Nova SR, only for it to disappear from the RVI car park and never be seen again.

I digress, that little pop plus was amazing when I was between 17-17.5 years old. An indicated 90mph within hours of passing my test and you better believe I wasn't bothered about turns from lock to lock when getting up to what 17 year olds got up to in their first cars. Happy days hehe

Hateful things? I probably had more fun in it than I did most of the cars I've ever owned!
Any car is amazing when you're 17 years old, especially if you're getting shagged in it biggrin

I'd come from a long line of 70s and 80s barges, Volvo's, 2.8 sweeney Granadas 2.9i jelly mould Granadas, toyota celica, when we met she wouldn't drive anything bigger than her fiesta and as it was new I caved and sold my Celica as we didn't need 2 cars.

I bet you wouldn't think it was great if you drove it now

Yes, I loved my Metro, primarily because it gave me and my girlfriend somewhere to have sex. If I drove it now i'd hate it.

I'm 6ft. Easy if you fold the back seats down.

I really like the colours on this. I sometimes drive my Dad's tatty slk320 and it's great for what it is - a little cruiser where the clever roof can go down. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2016...

Wow that's really nice. Lovely colour and I even like the seats and wheels. As said, they've aged very well and 43k miles?!?

Whist it ma be seen as the poor relation to its predecessor, a 1.6 20v with 160ps and 1090kg sounds good to me. Anyone tried one?

Inspired by W00DY's post of an 800 Vitesse on t'other thread I had a bit of a scout around on eBay for a Tomcat Turbo. Nothing half-decent turned up but this VVC one looks rather nice. Just don't mention head gaskets
