I'd happily put a V8 in a few models but not the MV6, always considered them a bit special. Not fully bearded up on these though, didn't the MV6 have a LSD?
Some did, most didn't. If I was going to put a V8 in one, I'd choose a four cylinder to be honest. You'd want to swap gearbox and diff even on the V6s so just get a 2.0 or 2.2 to swap.Jimmy Recard said:
Yes, there was a plan to make a V8 Omega and I wish it had made it to market. It'd be a very cool car.
Don't say yours is a manual? 3.2 MV6 manual estate must be the grail of Omegas (if there were such a thing)
No it's not a manual but I actually quite like the slushbox that's in it.Don't say yours is a manual? 3.2 MV6 manual estate must be the grail of Omegas (if there were such a thing)
For ages I had an LSD from a Senator lying around my garage but I threw it away 'cos nobody wanted it. Wish I hadn't now as the internals would fit into the casing.
An acquaintance of mine has some LSDs for Omegas so I might offer him some folding for one.
Within a sharp haggle of budget. Yummy retro-ness.

That's extremely nice. I wonder how long before people start using newer engines in these, like the 1.6t ST engine which would give a nice reliable 200bhp.wormus said:
Looks good!! Needs a nice new expansion tank, as the current one lets the engine bay down.Edited by EarlOfHazard on Saturday 4th February 15:12
