They were well regarded in the early 1980s though.

A friend of mine turned up (outside the front) to the pub in one of these in mint condition last time I was in London.

So much cooler and more interesting than, say, a modern Ferrari/Mclaren!

He's done a pretty good job of it visually. I didn't realise how sporty the XJ40 20 spoke alloys look with the hubcaps off!

I'm not generally a fan of Volkswagens (my mum had a Golf which I learned to drive in and put me off them for life), but the original Polo is a peach of a car. That one is probably even better in posh Audi 50 guise.
