Clarkson was the problem with the alarm going off all the time
Fixed that for you. The cobra alarm only requires you to carry the alarm fob with you when your driving or it contacts the tracking company. Simple for most to understand...
FWIW guys I love the GT but felt the article just needed to be a little more balanced than "I think these are really brilliant and blah blah blah." As mentioned they do seem to be creeping up in value so clearly the experience of JC hasn't prevented their (rightly deserved) reputation being appreciated. I would just be curious to know if the less informed supercar fan with the money to buy would understand that and see past the badge and the whole TG saga. Trying to consider things more broadly
Good to hear from owners that the car lives up to the hype! Matt black looks terrifying. I quite fancy blue without the stripes and the BBS wheels. Or a GTX1. Cor.

I don't understand that? what happens when you walk away from the car?
you take the fob with you, on your keyring. When your not using the car for a period of time (over winter for example) you keep the fob and the actual key separate so even if someone steals your keys and takes off with the car but not the fob, the tracker will activate and contact Cobra/Police.greggy50 said:

Roush power upgrade cost an extra £20k.
£20k for what is probably a supercharger pully?I would have thought on that engine £20k could get you 1000hp to be honest!

I wonder if you could convert one to RH drive ?........................nah, maybe better not !
They (not Ford) did them in Australia so they could be legally registered.http://www.mustangmotorsport.com.au/ford_gt/ford_g...
As for some peoples comments about the car being somehow less desirable because Clarkson owned one (I'm not talking about comments relating to any issues he had during his ownership) - That's ridiculous. To think that someone would think "I wouldn't want one of those because Jeremy Clarkson once owned one"
And you would also have to apply that 'logic' to the following great/iconic cars that he has owned/run....
Ferrari F355
Mercedes AMG CLK63 Black
Mercedes SLK55 AMG
Mercedes Grosser
Lamboghini Gallardo Spyder
Ferrari F458 Italia
Jaguar XJR
Land Rover Defender
Alfa Romeo GTV6
Ford Escort Cosworth
Lotus Elise 111S
BMW M3 CSL
Aston Martin Virage
I'm sure there have been some naff ones also.... But that's not the point.

Happy to report that it's always been near the top of my list.
What he said! Though I must confess that, come lottery win day (which I'm sure is due any day now), I suspect I'd be torn between a GT and one of the decent replica GT40's... actually sod it, if I win the lottery I'll have one of each!

That is closer to the truth, my car had the standard Ford Racing (Roush) pulley and remap/tune, along with a throttle body change, and it was around the 3k mark including a full service.
yeap pulley / tune / remap should not be more than 2k... with 20k you get uprated supercharger or with some more a twin turbo. But power is immense in stock format. The only upgrade that is really needed is on tires, original goodyear are as hard as rock, thank God bridgestone has good replacements (enzo ones) T4NG0 said:
There doesn't really seem to be anything of substance in that 'article'....Stating the obvious but.......
This article gives me one of the things that I like the most about PH.
People who actually own the cars mentioned in the article and then talked about by the majority tell us the truth about their car.
So thank you to those who own, who posted.
Perfect.

the GT just looks right in every way, and although I've never had the privilege of driving one, i will assume that it is not short of wow factor behind the wheel.
got passed by one on Hwy99 here in Vancouver a couple of years ago - the want factor as it went by was off the charts. was deeply jealous of the small child getting a ride with his dad - i bet he thinks he has the coolest dad in town.
