That's just hardcore porn. The moderators need to do something about this!
I agree. Pure and utter filth. Picture of the week perhaps? So far the only one that looks good although I suspect that's more 'Ford GT/whoever modified it' rather than the black wheels.

Silver would get lost against the bare ally sides of mine I think:
I'd disagree personally - the black tyres and green arches would provide a break between the wheel and bodywork, and currently the wheel/tyre combo looks lost in the arches.edit: I think a touch of green rim tape and maybe some painted calipers would look the business.
Personally never liked black alloys on cars. Its just a fashion thing which will hopefully die out soon.

I know what the OP means but on the right car with the right colour / accent colours I think black wheels work and more so in the metal than in pictures possibly.
I am biassed though as this is mine with black Oz legennda in 17"
Makes the wheels look huge because of the black wheel surrounds. Silver would help.I am biassed though as this is mine with black Oz legennda in 17"
I agree - I've never liked black wheels on cars. At best they reduce the definition in the wheel design, but more often they look tacky/chav - especially on the more run of the mill cars/hot hatches etc. GetCarter's R8 is the closest pic posted so far to the car looking better with black wheels, followed by hondnsx's GT3..... most of the others look nasty to me!
One of my cars has a lightish graphite grey wheel colour which was special edition factory spec so I've kept it, but the others are all boring old silver, and the better for it .

BTCC cars (epsecialy 90's ie Cavalier above and 155) with black alloys: win. Sporty road cars with black alloys: fail. Unless they are the exact black ones taken off a touring car, but then you would have to have the suspension to go with it to pull it off. And the engine. And the brakes. And the roll cage. Ect

I have been thinking of powder coating mine for a few months now after seeing this in the classifieds.
This is my current look.
It was talked about on the TVR forum, hope you don't mind OP but can I see what the opinion is on a wider audience.
Not black/black more of a Anthracite colour.
I would say save your money. IMO, those darker alloys do nothing for it. There is nice balance there with the dark blue/tan leather and silver wheels. This is my current look.

The darker wheels cheapen the look a little for me.
