Black wheels, with only a few exceptions, are chav tat.

One of those exceptions:
Middle class tat.

Black wheels just look like decent alloys that have not been washed for ten years.

Nice OE black rims.

3 pics where there should have been 1.

Can you post another 3 images from the same angle?

That would be great :-)
Whoops! I meant to delete a couple of those when I pinched the link codes.

If we adopt the opinions/aholes doctrine ,Haymarket may as well shut down the Pistonheads Forums forthwith... The Defence rest's wink
Only if every thread was about what colours folk like and subjective. Some people like the interior of a Pagani Zonda, whereas I think it looks like Liberace's wet dream. Same principle. smile

What's so bad about that, apart from the black wheels of course?

i'll let someone else answer this, i've had them black for over 2 years. Had been tempted to put another silver set back on for a bit of originality but very much still happy having them black

Have to say, not single car on this thread with black wheels that I like. I like dark wheels, but black is too much, always makes the tyres look a dirty brown and they get lost.

The anthracite/shadow chrome ones look good, as they look dark but still show the detail and make the tyres look black.

This was my wife's old touring with the anthracite M3 wheels on...

My old M3 on its 18's which were finished in the same anthracite colour...

Alpina D3 with Anthracite again...

They can look really dark, but always keep the style of the wheel visible and doesn't get lost in the arch like black does.

Only problem I see with black wheels is the fact that if you curb them they look awful, whereas if you do the same with silver ones you can get away with it.

However I think overall on most cars silver or grey wheels look the best. My jag is the first car I have had with black wheels and to me looks much better as it blends well with the orange paintwork and the black accents.

I can't help but think that cars with black wheels (in pictures) look like a scrapper with its wheels off.

i think silver wheels suit, black is too over played, when i see them, i think scabby chav wheels, even if they are perfect.

colored wheels need to be come back.

A little biased perhaps, but I love the Spyder with the white/black combo.

Don't you mean silver wheels are over played as the majority of wheels are silver!?!
