RE: Mercedes E500 coupe: Spotted
Discussion
I'm afraid I've always been quite taken with these ever since a Sales Director at my former employers bought a 350 CGI in black after he'd written off his TTRS.
The only thing that put me off was that I'd presumed the 350 was the biggest petrol lump in this particular range but clearly not. An E500 Convertible sounds even better.
I'm sure it's disappointing on the twisties but, as a comfortable way of munching the miles discreetly, it strikes me as a tempting proposition.

Actually, I remember mocking up up an E63 Black Series a few years ago:
For GCSE art and design?I have been in one of these E500s at Mercedes World. Nice car, quick, smooth, stable. I do keep my eye out for them - but prefer the later turbo engine as it presents much more low-down pull. Sadly they no longer sell it.

I have this engine in an E class. I'd suggest that in an estate it's even more subtle. It looks like a de-badged E220.
Probably rarer too.
Hi Mr E. Roll on two years and three months and I've just bought a de-badged S212. On 17's (like yours I think?).Probably rarer too.
Davld L told me of yours - I'd totally forgotten.
He says he's spotted something like 12 now on Mbclub.
Picking it up next week.
Just. Can't. Wait.
