Poor showing on the live stream. Went down as they started wheeling out the classic cars and not coming back up again...

I'm inclined to agree - it certainly isn't pretty. The problem is the mk3 isn't a particularly attractive car to start with (you can't polish a turd but you can roll it in glitter). If you look at the base spec mk1 Focus then in my (biased) opinion the design worked really well. Certainly much easier on the eye than the mk2 and mk3.

The RS version can only look good if the base car does. The fact the mk3 Focus is 5dr only doesn't help either.

That being said, 4WD and over 300bhp sounds exciting - it won't be long after release until Mountune/Revo have these to 400bhp+ as well.

This at £30k and the V8 Mustang at £35k still gives two great VFM Fast Fords though. I like the way Ford have been going/are heading recently. If anyone at Ford is reading, can we have a Fiesta RS next please?

I love fast Fords but this is leaving me cold. At least they've acknowledged it needed to be 4WD but I'd be chucking money at a VW dealer for a Golf R I think. Or buying a Mk2 which I think will now only increase in value.

I love the precision of "more than 316bhp".

So, 317?

Why would mk2 prices increase? I'd prefer an AWD RS to a FWD one and they'll be plenty of these mk3s about. Prices of mk2s are only as high as they are because places such as RS Direct artificially inflate them.

Glad it's AWD but my god that things is ugly!

It just looks so wrong and after market. I prefer the look of the mk2 all day long!
Isn't that exactly what everyone said when the Mk2 was announced?

Finally someone else that sees it. Mk2's will crash as the vain scramble to be seen in the latest fastest thing. Look at how the mk1 tanked when the mk2 came out.
