Indeed only thing I'd say is the halfords mats serve a purpose in protecting the deep pile Bentley mats. I'm doing the same over the winter and protecting my nice mats in the e55.

I think that's a little pricey for a car with crinkly wings. The 4-cyl one I posted earlier looks better value than that I reckon.

You're probably right. However my credit card can fix rusty wings (they all need them doing) but it can't fix having the wrong engine

I'm at a decision point with mine - I figure I've spent far too much to start again so will do the gearbox/paint in the coming months. Strangely it looks like the suspension/brakes/fuel lines will have cost more than the paint will.

With hindsight I would have started with a 300-24 saloon with as low a mileage as possible. My car will never be worth a fraction of what I have put into it, but I guess it will do another 200k miles without a significant issue.
