So potential do drove even more of a bargain?! It would sell ok up north if it was mechanically sound, sadly its in London, so you need another £500 off for the hassle of going down there to get it and hoping you make it back.
That sounds like a good un. Which good recent spend, that would be a very cheap way of running around.
Makes me wonder what I'd get for mine: my wife had a baby boy on Tuesday which got me thinking about reducing the fleet.
What would a 2 owner high spec e320 get with loads of work (about £4k) done go for? All that's left to do is the paint and leather refurbished...
Or a could sell the V12 if anyone wants a project...

Ironically it would be useful next weekend to carry stuff, however it would depend on how it goes next weekend as to if I'd have the money to purchase it.
If the circumstances had been reversed I would have a punt at £500, cheap car and no worries for your mate over insurance/parking passes etc.
If its still for sale in a couple of weeks and things go well then you never know.

Congratulations Harry. However, your thinking is wrong. An extra human equates to needing an extra car. You should be looking to buy, not offload...idiotgap said:

Could be worth putting on a fresh MOT if its in good condition, could increase confidence for people to travel to view the car, also pictures of the rusty wings and of the jacking points may help alleviate fears as the pics on AT/classics site are too small to get a good look at anything.

Looks good, and fairly rust-free from the pics. Utterly irrational I know, but any dealer that has the word 'carriages' in the title, and/or viewing by appointment in the ad, puts me off. I can live with Kiss FM on the radio, but carriages ... yuk

Very nice. Let me guess the model!
It's a late car, so the headlights tell you nothing. The bumpers have rubber side pieces though, so it isn't a 280E. There seemed to be a lot of 230Es sold towards the end, so I'm guessing it is a 230E, rather than a 200.
Colour looks to be light ivory - always one of my favourites on this era of Mercedes. It looks great with the chrome and is somehow prettier than white - which ion a Mercedes was a bit too white. I can't make out the interior, but it looks to be slightly shiny - so maybe leather or MB Tex. Palomino MB tex?
Here's a shot of the interior, MB-Tex is a synthetic leather isn't it, if so then this isn't. It's a late car, so the headlights tell you nothing. Oh and the PO swapped the steering wheel back to standard for me. I also have a period radio/cassette for it (Blaupunkt rather than Becker, but hey-ho can't have it all)

Gorgeous.
interesting to see our similar cars are only a plate change from each other, yet quite different in style.
Thats a real step change isn't it. I quite fancy a w124 TE to replace my daily driver C-Max.interesting to see our similar cars are only a plate change from each other, yet quite different in style.
A proper engine. I know the post-facelift is a better car, and that this probably has some depreciation to go, but tempting nonetheless if one needs to get into something younger than a 124.

I do love these, if it was a 7-seater and just 2 years younger I'd be thinking very seriously... it's a matter of time...http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...
