So, any bargists been out in the snow today? I must confess to not putting winters on the E65 (at £1,000 for a set....) because I'm out of the country for much of January; I guess winters would merely turn it from being horrendous in the snow to merely acceptable.
No snow up here but I can confirm the e65 is pretty bad in the snow. However winters do transform the car. brickwall said:

Been out to clear the snow off BG's carcoon and got a text from his former owner not to take him out under pain of wallet. Not because the esteemed PHr is fond of his old boy, but because it would be in a ditch at the first corner! If this weather gets worse I am going to buy this and put winter tyres on it.
Ugly, but cheap!

That CL looks stunning for the money - a proper bargain barge (no comment on the money pit aspect though!)
And PS welcome - please post more barges!
Thanks 0a! And yeah, I do like that cl a lot, but the blue lovely c140 you just posted, I've been staring at that for a few days thinking it makes more sense! And PS welcome - please post more barges!
I'm staying away for now though, with the excuse it's too cold to ride out there!

In fairness, from the trade perspective, they are bloody complicated and have been very poorly communicated.
If the car is 'in trade' then it is still taxed, but once the car is registered to the new owner, the tax will be voided and the new owner will need to buy more.
I think the only way that works is if the new owner neglects to complete the V5 until the current tax is out. (which is naughty).

Ridiculous amount of vehicle for the price but I really don't like the dark coloured interior. IMHO these big barges look best with a pale leather to contrast with the dark exterior.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-750-IL-1999-103-000-...
Now if it had green top dash, green carpet and everything else cream, it would be a very nice place to be indeed.

The Individual leather colours of Champagne and Silbergrau with contrast piping from this era can still look good but the plain biege and grey can look a liilt dated and washed out so the dark colours can be a good option these days with the dark green and dark blue being a nice change to the black. This one seems fairly well specced with electric and heated seats all round, contours in the front and digital air con in the back, as well as the uber-rare tissue boxes.
