My recently acquired SL500. Would look nice next to Oa's.
Really enjoying her at the moment, except for a rather large bill for a new window regulator and motor. Oh well, just hope there is nothing else looming.
A lovely colour and on an "a2" plate as well!
Indeed, congrats, lovely car!

Wasn't someone after a Taxi-coloured SL?

Admittedly a 107 rather than 129, with chromed arches, and over thread budget, but intriguing nonetheless.

Well I really want a 190!
This could be your lucky day!

Over budget, and grotesquely over-priced, but just look at it. 34k. Wonderful provenance. Even got keep fit windows - the (wealthy) fans of original spartan will love it.

A delightful antithesis of modern driving.

This may have been posted before, but drove past this Merc graveyard today and thought I'd share.

That green 190 went through the last Kings Lynn auction for £3,400. Still one of the nicest i've seen though, and probably worth it.

May have to contribute to this post soon as i've just agreed to purchase a 300E-24 which should be driving this week.............................

Will do! She's currently spending her last night in the Mercedes garage I work for before I collect her. Currently has issues with running for more than 20 minutes which is related to some sort of fuel issue. I'm happy to spend a few quid getting her sorted and am hoping it will be fairly straightforward!!

Also have a 190 in the family, along with an early R170 SLK and daily driver is a 211 Wagon E320 CDI so I will be watching this thread closely!

Well it looks like I've gone and bought a P38 Range Rover Vogue off ebay completely unseen.... What could possibly go wrong?

Seems like a good example, most of the common jobs appear to have been taken care of. Fingers crossed all will be well when I head south to collect it next week!

Will come back and add some pictures once I've picked it up
So I picked her up last Friday. Long journey back north and didn't miss a beat all the way home. Really a very pleasant place to spend a long journey.

Needs a couple of bits of cosmetic tidying but nothing major. May get it in to a local specialist for a once over just to make sure all's well.

Couple of pics after a good clean this afternoon

Thanks! Yes, is the 4.6 V8. Surprisingly ok mpg wise on a run too. Managing around 380-400 miles to a tank which was a pleasant surprise

This looks to be in lovely condition. Good 3.6 litre XJ40s are rare now.

In the right colour and spec, the P38 Range Rover is a very handsome car.

Apologies for the delay, been busier than usual. I've driven about 250 miles in it so far and it's been a very positive experience. As mentioned, it's not perfect but its faults are of the minor variety, e.g. outside temperature gauge stuck at +58C, parking scrape on the front bumper, steering wheel offset. I'll go in to more detail when I start a reader's cars thread. It has no rust that I can find, engine is excellent, gearbox fine, interior is nearly perfect bar a cracked speaker grille in the door.

There is something wonderfully excessive about the W140 coupe.

Some quality (IMHO) Swedish barges for a Monday morning.

760 GLE Estate. One owner from new, 42k miles. Top end of thread budget

960 CD Saloon - lower end of thread budget. Does look handsome.

Is that a rack for AA badges etc on the front of the 740? A good omen.
