Overly wordy doesn't quite do that justice.

Two Turbos, 12 cylinders, 500BHP and surely available for 5k with a cheeky haggle.

I know they are the definition of ruinous if something went wrong, but its a mind numbing amount of car for the money. I'm tempted...
I'm interested in these twin turbo v12s but there is something fishy about that one. It's also on AT for £7000;

He definitely bangs on a bit. Looks a nice example though.

Not bad value for what - 5% of original asking price?
Still looks like a beached whale but they're growing on me.

Got me looking now.
That blue one is very good. Major bork at £1250 makes no sense when for £3500 - or less if you bid - under £2500 right now - you can get a 68k miled slightly slack-jawed cross-eyed beauty like this - colour scheme isn't so good but condition looks A1.

Pretty it is not.
Purple it certainly is.
I'ld rather get the bus.

Almandine Red is a nice colour. If that C140 was local, I'd be taking a look. If it was a V12, I'd be throwing caution to the wind and bidding on it. smile

They both look good prospects to me, in different ways.

Assuming the blue one is available for £1,000, I'd think you should be in good shape for £16-1700.

The red certainly looks very tidy. There's a bit too much metalwork acreage for that strength of colour, but its still nice.

Finally picked one up.

Boston Green '98 Evo Cabrio. 59,000m, years MOT, fresh out of an Insp II and New Vanos unit. (£1300 bill from Dr Vanos! eek )

Got a random email from a guy that really wanted the CLK and wanted to do a deal with his M3.

Bad point??

It was Cat C in 2000. Otherwise its a 8-10k car at a dealer. I've looked around it, underneath it, its been through BMW numerous times, previous owner had it through ML pre-purchase insp + there's not a spot of rust on it. So im satisfied I wont die in it. I did OK price wise IMO so I dont think i'll loose money if I can keep the mileage down + im going to try and track down some more history for the car.

ETA: its fricking awesome btw. love it.

Great stuff, I looked at a few before ending up with my R129. The engine must sound awesome wound up with the top down.

Very smart. Looking better all the time. Nice grown-up colours help to rein-in some of the less desirable (unfair) perceptions of the car.

Whilst Estoril, Techno violet and Dakar all look very striking, I think those cars now look naff, whilst Oxford Green, black and silver all look the business. Avus blue straddling the dotted line between the two.

Really nice.

The pervert in me might be tempted to swap the M body addenda for regular 3 series stuff and create a WISC.

I do love these, it's just so unfair they don't seat five.
