Some absolute beauties on here, especially the Tivs and the GTR!

Heres my little Alfa, which I've had for around 5 years. Not too far off from where I want it now, but always further tweeks to do.

Nice bike. What year is it?

As a one-time owner of a Suzuki GT250 of the same era, I feel I should flame you, because internet smile.
Then we can both gang up on the Honda boys and their pathetic 4-strokes.

Funny you should say that, I bought it because I had a 250x7 and my best mate at the time had one of these. I loved the X7, it was supposed to be quicker but deep down I thought the RD was a "better" bike. You were either an X7 man or an RD man reflected in the support of Sheen or Roberts but we all laughed at the Super Dream owners!

I love riding it, its a 1979 and seems natural to ride as if I was 17 again (now 52) I wanted one for ages then bought it without telling the wife but found an article that supported it that said 70`s Japanese Bikes were a better investment than stocks and shares

Hurumph - Some of us had to ride superdreams because we couldn't afford the fuel an two stoke oil costs of an X7 or RD......

We were however very jealous

I am ashamed to say I broke about 4 RD250s back in the day to get their engines for racing hovercraft. Back in the late 80s they were worth nothing - things have changed slightly.....

Been off the road since 2012 and after a long drawn out saga with somebody who was going to restore it, yesterday I had a more uplifting conversation with somebody far more trustworthy who is going to finish the great work he's already done on the bodywork, which means it should be back on the road by end of Spring. smile

You can redeem yourself by posting a hovercraft pic...

Thanks. Its a 1968 Alfa GT 1300 Junior, but with a 1750cc engine from the later 1750 GTV.
The car was in good form when I got it, but I've been through upgrading worn parts with Alfaholics goodies, including a stainless manifold and exhaust, an lsd, and some work to the induction. The engine is currently putting out 100hp at the wheels which allows brisk progress, not fast but fun. You can pop a later twinspark engine straight into these if you are chasing speed. At the moment its more about the journey than the time it takes.
