The perfect 2/3 car combination?
Discussion
for years we have been lucky enough to be able to run 3 cars between myself and my wife and have been through various combinations, always managing to have a "toy" in the garage...
At the moment we have an SLK 55 AMG as a toy, a MK1 MX5 and a Jeep Grand Cherokee as daily cars. seems to work well as a combination for us... the MX5 does get a lot of use though!
What's your perfect 2 or 3 car combination?
At my kinda price range, I'd probably go for:
With more budget, the track/weekend car would probably come together and be an Atom 300. E39 would probably stay. Just want one, however much money I had to play with!
- E39 540i or M5 daily - great comfy, long-legged cruiser with plenty of kit but also absurdly quick and sound fantastic when the mood takes me.
- Something like a 3.0si Z4 for weekend plays, or perhaps a Boxster.
- My own E36 328i track car can stay, but it might morph into an M3 if funds allowed!

I'm quite happy with mine - for what I need:
VW T4 van - used for work and play regularly carries a ton plus but has been converted with 6 quick release seats, tinted windows remapped to 148bhp etc
Supercharged MX5 - great fun but practical too (compared to a Caterfield)
RX7 - had a V8, still have a twin turbo but I will build a V8 with circa 300bhp perfect for getting the kids to school.

We just need a luxo barge of some description for daily driving duties in the UK, though my fiance has a crosstour that i make use of. Other cars are a 911 turbo and all out track biased westfield - both are very very quick and I cant think of anything that goes as effortlessly fast or as entertaining as those two cars.
