Keep my MX-5 and add a sensible estate - maybe a fast Audi or Volvo.

Third car could then be a project / toy. I quite like the idea of a Caterham at the moment.

That strikes me as rather a failure of imagination. The money used to buy the repmobile could have been used to just do all your driving in the M4, with most of it left over I am sure. Or you could have had something completely different. To run your logic backwards a bit this is like having an Astra L for the daily work and an Astra GLS for high days and holidays

The 330e was too good a deal to pass up, it replaced an old fiesta for wet weather and winter driving.

I like tiny cars , just picked up the Jimny over the weekend & love it, its due a nice ~3" lift, a big set of BFG KO2's & some steel winch bumpers when I've got a bit more cash.

Ideal setup would be: An Else, Defender 90 and a 335d touring or other big repmobile estate for commuting.

I have struggled with this for years - often owning cars that all sort of eclipse each other. Bentley or Vanquish? What a dilemma!

I have maybe sorted it with a Range Rover for daily use and a Morgan Aero +8 as the nice weather fun car. Apart from both being V8's, they are so massively different from each other and therefore live comfortably together. That, for me, is the secret of having a good combination.

Touareg 262 R-Line - camping/skiing/family bus
Mini Cooper S R56 - urban runabout and periodic commuting
TVR Tuscan - for drama & sunny days

The missing lust in my list is stuff like Ur Quattro / Ro80 / Caterham tracker but that doesn't directly replace any of the above and we don't have room for 4. Don't really hanker for any super/hypercar strangely enough, apart from maybe an Aston. Always wanted to scratch the 911 itch but would have to be a Singer now.
