RE: Calum and Iain Duffy: PH Meets
Discussion
By January '75, no-one who was cool was still wearing loon pants. Two years before I first went to the Tour of Mull.....nah, long gone!
It's very hard to convey to anyone who hasn't been to Mull just how challenging the roads are at lower speeds, let alone competitive ones. In the days before the roads were closed and it was still a road rally run by the Mullard 2300 Club, it was even more so.
I still think it would also be a great venue for a Scottish mini Moto Tour and it'd be yet another event to extend the Muileachs' tourist season.

The 'modern' spec Mk2's are seriously quick Cars. Many have Millington Engines which can thump out the thick end of 300bhp with a good torque spread too.
BDA's (and BDG's) tend to be the preserve of the genuine Historic Cars, not sure what's in Calum Duffy's Car, but I'd expect it's a Millington rather than a BD.
Edit... should have read the article first... but I was right anyway.

This car's for sale now - Callum's had a Group A Impreza for next year.
