Its worth remembering it is not where the ball actually is but where the judges think it is. If you look back at some of the previous months they sometimes have it a fair bit from where I would say the ball really was. Anyway, I was bloody 1 pixel away from winning a GT3 and 10K a few months back!

Yeah thats what i was thinking, hence not going for first instinct of where i think the ball is but looking at it more.

Goal in view, could be from a cross so coming more from the side than directly above.

Player in the red looks like he has just head the ball

1 pixel away from a GT3 though...ouch!

Cheers, signed up. Was meaning to in the past, but forgot. smile
They're really good at tempting you back.

Every time you enter you get a 'loyalty credit' added to your account.

Also if you're close to the winning position you receive a credit back to your account depending how close.

I usually buy 10 tickets every game. I go for the £3 ones. If you buy 10 tickets you get a 40% discount so I pay £18 for 10 goes.

I'm usually pretty close so get about £5 back towards my next game.

So my 10 entries cost about £13 a game. I can cope with that for a little fun every couple of weeks.

Currently in it to win a GTR and £10k again, got given £3 credit the other day, and had some loyalty points so converted them in as well, only ended up paying 16p this time.

He'd been surpised at work. That's why he was in his work gear.

Best of the Best always try to surprise the winner.

The car you win is the one you select when you enter. The ticket price varies depanding on the value of the car you choose.

I enter most weeks. It's damn addictive. :-/

You can have one free £5 entry if you're a new player and after that you just have to keep trying!

Range Rover Sport is currently half-price at £3.50 a ticket. I've just bought 10.

If you buy 10 tickets its 40% off so £21. Less your £5 new player credit.

That's 10 goes for £16. £1.60 each rather than the usual £7.

Feeling lucky? ;-)

He He. Yes that would be quite funny if the judges opinion was miles away from where the actual ball really was.

In some ways its good that the judges use the same logic as us lot playing to place the ball. More chance of it being realistic.

In the old days I remember playing spot-the-ball along with doing the pools. They always seemed to pick photos where the ball was somewhere bizarre so I was always miles off.

At least with this one I'm usually close enought to get a credit abck each game.

Haha I was thinking that... Surely must be some signs of smoothing, etc in the photo data?

So you don't put the mark where, the ball is in the original photo?

You put it where a judge thought it wwould be?

Yes, it's judged by three independent judges all on video and witnessed by independent auditor.

You can watch the judging for each competition on their site.

They also say that they submit all the entry details to the auditor prior to the judging so entries can't be messed with.

They've been going for 10 years + so all seems legit.
