Has this been edited? The Corsa disappears and the jeep moves positions just before its hit and all while the Megan is still in shot?

Hope you catch him/her, it does look like it is trying to reverse park so i assume a friend of one of the neighbours?

Are you sure it was 59 plate as the format doesnt look right for such an old car.
It's an older style plate, so its going to be 1-9

N159 NGY, N259 NGY, N359 NGY etc

N is 95, before the car, so it could be a private plate. It certinally looks like the charaters on the plate are not as wide as they should be.

How did you get the part of the plate you report? even at 720p it's just a blur.

I don't think it's parking. The drive gets it in gear, then ducks down and looks out his passenger window as if to see if anyone saw him do it.

The driver also clips it on the initial passing too, although time seems to go backwards, from 17:13:39 to 17:13:26

Don't know what caused that weird frame jump at the start of each shot.

A blue car passes, silver muppet also passes, stops and reverses into black parked Forester which hasn't moved until hit. Silver muppet drives off and another blue car passes.

Hello,

Might be irrelevant but You say he drove passed, but actually he hit it on the way passed the first time and then reversed into it.

It almost looked like he was trying to tuck it back into the curb to be less obvious.

Not sure if that makes any difference to anything.
Watch the time stamp and the oncoming Corsa. The Camera does some funkiness.
This. The beginning of the video is actually the last few frames tacked on to the front.

From neighbours who saw the plate. It's impossible to see the plate on the video, even on the original footage before youtube.

I'll try and render it again to remove the weird frame drops.

I was about to say that it's a Monaco spec, from the roof and the wheels!

Top work that man!

Never been on any other plates though, just the current W177KMW. Was written off in July this year.

Tried the video again. Still does the weird frame thing but it's far enough in front to be obvious it wasn't the crash:

Off to autotrader...

Long time lurker, finally got around to registering - that footage is outrageous.

AndyDRZ is also correct, the Megane clips the parked car on the way through - if you look closely at 15 seconds there's a piece of black trim sliding to a stop in the middle of the road.

Great sleuthing on the Autotrader advert, had to comment to congratulate! :-)
Tim.

Registration : W177KMW
So nothing like what the neighbours saw, also Cat C. Was it previously, or new?

Good sleuthing! "Direct from insurance company" in the advert.

The Megane driver obviously blames the initial contact on the parked car because it isn't parked straight. So he decides to get revenge by reversing into it and straightening it out. Great work by everyone. Hope the OP gets his man.
