Why does it state it has been completed to a very high standard? Clearly a case of "not as described"

For instance, look at the indicator lens in the photo above. What standard has that been adjusted to?
Looks a terrible build, headlamp is miles out.

Dunno what values are like wherever that is advertised? Perhaps without the rot and in a country where there aren't many of them they are worth a lot more than they are here. I always thought they were under valued but rust erodes values as much as it erodes the car.

Prices in some European country make ours look ridiculous - that's possibly a whole different thread!

However that sad looking XKR is overpriced wherever it is biggrin

A lot to unpack here.
Cossie rep with really strange front end proportions.
Questionable shut lines.
No details of the car, just "it's my uncles so I won't answer questions".
And the seller is "Kahns Repairs".
You'd be better off burning your £15k.

The wheels also look really small. Adding to 'finished to a high standard' also missing a Ford badge at each end. I always find reps of these easy to spot, probably due to them being a larger than a regular Escort, due to being based on a Sierra floorplan. Easy to confirm, if there's no rear diff it's a fake.
The front wheels rarely sit properly on Escort Cos replicas due to the size difference you mentioned.
This car actually looks better than many I have seen where the wheel isn't even in the centre of the arch .
It could possibly be improved by putting 18" wheels on with bigger tyres .
The R reg is also a giveaway as there are few to no Cosworths registered that late .

I can’t be bothered to find the Autotrader link because I saw it yesterday and I’m at work,

But there’s a moon miles VW Phaeton that is completely fked and hasn’t ran in years up on AT for £8k.

W12 admittedly, but that’s even more reason to RUN AWAY!!!!!

A good solid working W12 Phaeton should be £7-8k max.

You'd want paying to take a broken one and should probably RUN AWAY even then tongue out
