Surely £4.95 would be closer to the mark!

Even at £31k that seems to be a silly price!

Which auction did it sell at?
Silverstone auctions - text sums it up

The market for Fast Fords will have it's doomsday within the next 15-20 years. Possibly when all the nostalgic 40 somethings retire and decide to buy a Dacia or Daihatsu or other OAP barnstormer

I don't think that's too bad considering it has got genuine Aston parts..
£35k for a 6 year old real one is horrific

I think one of the worst things with the whole ''appreciating classic'' phrase, is when it is applied to a car with what is considered to be high miles and overall not that rare.
I can understand when a car has below say 50k and is quite rare (500 of them made), but I once saw an advert for an E36 328i sport with 160k on it with these words being used and felt a bit sorry for the seller.

Looked around to see where that was advertised. here it is on ebay.

at the same time I also found these.
golf 1.8 CL, 25k miles for £5000
another golf CL, 73k miles £2750

it's pretty stupid considering another dealer is selling one with around 50k miles for £999.

£30K for Lotus Elise Sport 160? Granted, it's in very good condition and has only done 24,000 miles, but the asking price still seems a little steep to me ...

last mot 5 years ago and on 100k miles. That bloke is having a giraffe.

I remember looking at one when it was about 1.5k about 10 years ago. too slow and nothing special. Has it really changed that much, I guess anything with RS is now a bubble.

Doesnt look that bad for the money though. One owner 24k miles with what I assume is bmw individual paint + interior?
It's an auto with an offensively bad interior with bolster wear. No thanks.

These are only going to go up and up-I reckon in 2 years time that'll be cheap, especially for a S160 in that original condition.

It'll be interesting to see. It's not been long since Sport 160 cars were up for sale at around £15-18K. The one in the advert has an aftermarket interior, although the seller does state that he still has the original parts. I'm surprised he didn't refit the original parts, photograph it and then sell it as 'unmodified'! Also, it needs a cambelt change. I'd want that done for £30K! :P

"Only three left on the road" - so flippin' what, that doesn't make it worth the asking price!
But it's only got a touch of rust! Pity I'm not up for swapz myself
