Seriously Overpriced Cars
Discussion
Just wanted to mirror what Clowsey has said, I am a big 911 fan, however with today's prices looking to increase even further I feel gutted for having sold the two I have owned in the past but also saddened that the 993 in particular is now (for me) out of reach. Six months ago I also wanted to purchase an M3 (in lieu of a 911) but found that every car I viewed had been badly treated (by the people who bought the car new!!!) I have never understood that. To the bewilderment of the car salesman I would walk away. I therefore changed my tack and bought a Z4M Coupe which I have fallen in love with and use everyday. My first BMW and its a cracker IMHO. I know this is a topic for another conversation but its such a shame that certain cars price wise have reached for the sky leaving us feeling quite humble, however the Z4M to me is a little light that says not all of the cars that make you feel good have gone.
Well, hand it to PH, they've managed to necro this thread back to a healthy state of life.

Feast your eyes on £10,990 "worth" of bright blue Alfa GT - and no, don't be silly, of course it's not the V6, it's not even a petrol!
"FULL CAMBELT & WATERPUMP TO BE REPLACED PRIOR TO SALE" Thanks for shouting, but that presumably means it hasn't had the belt done in 7 years, I'd suggest that's not evidence of "FASTIDIOUS" maintenance; it's certainly not been done on mileage. Also, how could it not be a full cambelt and waterpump? Do they sell those in fractions for a JTDm these days?
Veloces, in general, make it their goal to have **the** most expensive of every type of Alfa on the market at any given time.

Yes they've always liked to control the Alfa market, when I used to deal in Alfas we would frequently trade cars to them for more than what we were planning to retail them for. Happy Days!http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/a...

This week's Wheeler Dealers car with £3200 asking price when it was sold at the end of the programme for £2500 (which gave Mike and Edd a £700 profit).

There must be investment money involved in these purchases - there's got to be a few storage units with hundreds of 'desirable' cars sat there getting older and more outdated, sorry, appreciating.
Imagine buying that £120,000 Sierra Cosworth and getting owned by someone in their Golf R @ £240 per month..
Having had a few Escort Mk2s back in the day, actually paying any money for one and having to get behind the wheel and drive the thing leaves me cold. £28k? Lolz. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C578493
The RS500 wouldn't be so bad if it didn't have that Poundland interior.Imagine buying that £120,000 Sierra Cosworth and getting owned by someone in their Golf R @ £240 per month..

I paid half that for one with the same mileage! Admittedly an 02 vs 54 reg, however there is not even a mention of fsh or a cambelt change.

How the hell is that £1900? You can get a MK2 for that!
