The E Types you can buy now at £1,000,000 are the most stupidly-priced cars ever. That they sell them at that price tells me some people simply have too much money and not enough sense.
I have recently seen M3 CSLs at £70,000. Porsche GT3s at £180,000. Again, utter nonsense prices.
But as someone said, if people pay it it is deemed to be worth it to them.
A 1993 McLaren went for 6 MILLION recently. Crazy.

Lower down the new Honda HRV petrol is way too expensive for what you get.

Yours for £59,495
The GT40 and The Ford GT aside, I simply to not understand the prices people pay for classic European Fords or why people want them.

That isn't even that bad, occasionally a rally prepared Escort comes up for sale with "Colin McRae looked at it once" in the description and a £100,000 price tag

They did one with Recaro PP's and a host of other great bits - surely you'd get the kitted out one instead?

But hey, there are some serious enthusiasts for every model.

I think unmodified clean mk1s will start making strong money soon but maybe not 20k! A brand new one starts at £18,495

How badly wrong must your life have gone if that is your fantasy way to spend 10k

I learnt in Maestro's and did mankind a good service by crashing two of them to bits in the next two years.

TEN GRAND !

You could have some serious metal for that money.

Hmmm.

Shall I spend £10,000 on a pig-ugly 1.3 litre Maestro or should I get an E46 M3?

It's a real dilemma isn't it?

How much is a 4,700 mile 1990 Bentley Turbo-R worth? This one is armour-plated but even so the price of £95,000 seems just a little on the high side.
worst in thread imo

BMW Z8 yes its an Alpina version but its also £350k ??????
Think I would look at my wad before buying that.
When they were new and nearly new, BMW couldn't give them away.
Just been browsing this thread...and the above is absolutely true!

It must have been about 2002 and I was offered a nearly new Alpina Z8 by my local BMW Main-dealer for £42K IIRC. It seemed like a lot of money to me then...and still does but they were really, really struggling to get rid of it.

But then that was before a 'certain dealership' artificially hiked their value by employing cartel tactics. I won't name them but someone got ever so upset before.

What really makes me laugh is some builder found it in a garage he was pulling down and either took it away for free or very little money put a battery on it and now suddenly its 10k!!
