I love Integrale's , have owned one. I can't understand why they are so expensive. They are never selling at the prices they are up at
Late midel special editions going for £65k especially. It still has all the flaws of any 70s/'80s Italian car, no matter when it was registered. St John Smythe said:

I have to agree with you. I don't know why they think that detailing a car and taking some professional photos in a white room triples or in some cases quadruples a car's value. They seem to turn over cars quickly though so they are certainly good at finding idiots and their money.http://www.4starclassics.com/vw-scirocco-storm-for...
The bottom of the front wing doesn't look all that solid and is that rust on the sill?
4star is an interesting company, nothing the advertise is remotely sensible price wise yet they seem to turn over stock quite quickly. I wonder if there is a cachet with buying a car from them?
It seems a similar thing with Munich Legends for BMW's.

AE86 Corollas. I'm sure they're great to drive, but at the end of the day it's still just a mildly quick Corolla
I've got one, think they can justify the money they go for. They aren't that expensive really, usually about 6-8k. When you consider they are early to mid 80's, they are the same sort of money as their contemporaries and a lot better to drive than most. A Series 1 Escort RS Turbo is about the same money, MK1 Golf GTI's aren't far behind, a nice E30 325i sport is the same sort money. The AE86 flew up in price quickly around 2007 but the market has been stagnant since, maybe even dipping slightly while similar cars have now appreciated to the same sort of levels. Back then they were expensive, now they are about right.

Antipodean cousins...http://www.classicthrottleshop.com/classics.htm
Some very lovely stuff, and occasionally something reasonably priced, but usually a bit over the top. Current fave is an E28 M5 for AU$130k - that's now down from AU$140k. And a Mk2 RS2000 for AU$80k. Halve the numbers to roughtly get GBP.
4 Star Classics are interesting. Apparently overinflated prices, but their stock turns round pretty quickly.
Like everything - it's only worth as much as someone is prepared to pay for it, and if someone is prepared to pay £35,000 for an E28 M5 then is it actually overpriced? For me, a car is overpriced when it sits on a website/forecourt and doesn't shift. 4 Star do not seem to have this issue - my guess is that they positioned themselves nicely ahead of the inevitable price hikes with 80's motors as people of my age (and with some disposable income to splash on a toy) look to re-live their childhood.
As it happens, 4 Star's M5 E28's are overpriced, but only because I can't afford to buy one....
