Tax is between 150-300% on cars.

One of my Thai friends in bangers is currently selling his 1999 Jag S-Type 4.0 v8 for equivalent of 40k gbp

I can't help feeling that you guys didn't read the whole advert, particularly the bit at the bottom where the seller says that they know that the car isn't worth £100K and that the advert is juts a publicity piece because they haven't even got the car in their showroom yet.

I want to know what happens after you buy that £30,000 beige Rover 75 and decide after let's say - 6 months and 1,000 miles - what the lovely people at that garage would give you if you decide to trade it back in? £5k? £8k? £10k?!

Either way you will never get your money back and driving off the forecourt in the sunset having just unloaded £30k you've instantly halved that money. Utter delusionists....
