I'm interested to know why such a rare Bora isn't worth more than £2k? Diesel Boras with higher miles are being advertised at north of £2k - there are 23 on Autotrader.

I sold a Bora 4motion V6 earlier this year for around £600 - that was all I could get for it.

Yes but that was a different car. I agree the price is very high but it is a low milage, full history car with a high spec. It's also very rare, no V6s on autotrader at the moment. One of those cars that to most people it's just an old car not worth that much but to the right person it's worth a lot more.

The 200sx has been consistently undervalued by the trade for years now. I remember trying to buy one 8 or 9 years ago and failing miserably. The book price to buy a used one was silly low, in fact I remember reading about how they were a bit of a depreciation disaster, but I just couldn't get one for any where near book. They'd appear in dealers at around book price and sell within the day. I remember ringing a Saab dealer that had taken on in PX the afternoon they listed it and arranged to view the follwing morning. He warned me that he had somepone else comming to view it in the morning and it was sold before I even got there. A bloke from Ireland caught a flight over and drove it away. He said he'd never sold a car so fast. Anything for sale privately was listed for £2k more and seemed to be selling well. A very strong case of a car with a keen speciallist market willing to pay good money but the trade failing to recognise this and simply valuing it as an old Nissan. Not supprisingly it was only really the manul cars that were selling well and for more money.
It was a similar story when I sold an E39 530i sport with a manual box. The phone rang off the hook and I sold it in two days for the asking price. Another car where the trade prices didn't refect the fact that buyers were looking for them with a manual rather than an auto. At the time it was fairly easy to buy an auto and they were selling for less, despite the fact that the trade still valued the auto higher.
