It could have been nice, but it is so wrong!

Here's another pricey Audi, but a rather good car.

Shame about the crap photos, the war and peace advert and the £40k price tag! laugh

"RECENT MAJOR SERVICE ON 24/02/2016...CONSISTING OF NEW FUEL PUMP, FULL SERVICE, GEARBOX OIL, BATTERY AND EXHAUST WELDING AT A COST OF £2000"

"The timing belt and water pump were last changed on 13/05/2004 at 108270 miles"

Odd. Also the service book is "up to date", but last stamped in 2008?

Lovely, lovely car - over the top advert though. What exactly is the point of regurgitating all the Wikipedia information of a vehicle when selling? I'd expect those in the market for an RS2 would know the score - especially at that rather gopping price point.

Plus, I don't think I could ever bring myself to part with £40k at a place called Xclusive Motorz. Cringeworthy stuff.

Odd, yes. However, there are many sillier ads in the classic world such as " engine overhauled in 2002" or " bare metal respray in 1995". Most of our cars didn't even exist then. At a pinch such claims may be relevant for- say- a Bentley, a Bristol or an Alvis. however, for the mainstream stuff, forget it!

The MOT station will just write down what is on the clock regardless of whether or not it is reading in miles or KM, so at a guess the car is still in kph
Advert says 180k miles on the clock
330,000 km is 200k miles, so it's not like they have gone to a massive effort of clocking it, seems more like a guess at how many miles it has done.

The clocking wouldn't put me off, all the st tacked on to it, the st wheels and the overly high suspension puts me off it, and it being an Audi also puts me off.

Not the most extreme example on this thread but still,

http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/191721/bmw-...

£12k for a 318is, it's not even mint (what are those plates?!).

It does look nice, but I've seen equally nice examples for half the money.

£12k gets you a really nice 325i Sport

How about this. £8000 for a celica 2.0 GT

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2016...

sure it might be a low 46k miles, but it's not exactly that desirable is it? its a normal GT not GT-Four etc. These cars have always been cheap for many years. anything over 1k for one is silly imo, and there are plenty for sale for over 1k now.

It is very expebnsive but "questionable colour and challenging interior?"

Really?

That was a very popular colour especially on the E36 M3. Interior is also rather nice.

Needs to be blue, lower mileage, and, just not that car to be worth that sort of money!

They've been very expensive for a long time now.
