Seriously Overpriced Cars

I mean if they are going to take the piss on the price you would have thought the least they could do was spend 20 mins taking some decent photos. It isn't even an MG or a nice colour or anything.
Wasn't there a batch of these a few years back (late 90s?) that were discovered and sold off really cheap?
There were about 600 Maestros built up from lhd kits ( most converted to rhd ) by Parkway Services in Ledbury. They were R reg on for a few years - they were just about the cheapest new car you could buy here at one stage.Wasn't there a batch of these a few years back (late 90s?) that were discovered and sold off really cheap?
I see one still running about locally

What a advert does he really believe his twaddle. I love his pretty much guarantee the price will go up in time.mike74 said:
Hate adverts like that. Full of sentences starting with 'I believe', 'Apparently', 'My understanding is' and 'I read' inly to be followed by the classic 'however I cannot verify this fact'

Sold at auction two years ago for £2900.

"As this car is not brand new and is not a show car, it does have some minor imperfections here and there as expected with a 13 year old car that has been used."I think my expectations of a 35k Impreza are different to his.
The bloke must be straight up mental if he genuinely thinks it's worth that.
How many times has he said 'your' instead of 'you're' - "ultimately your still left with a normal car which will in time depreciate"

Wow, so not even proper UK spec cars then? I know the story made the news at the time as they were something like £5k IIRC. Still they must have been absolute death traps compared to modern cars on sale by the late 90s / early 2000s. I see one still running about locally

It's a low mile, manual 850CSI (fastest one). It's strong money, but it's not worth 60k. half that I'd say.

Yes. The thing is, they were no good new. Yes I can understand that it would be a bit of a laugh - ironic?- at £1000. otherwise, noWasn't there a batch of these a few years back (late 90s?) that were discovered and sold off really cheap?
A BMW E30 325i motorsport with 106,000 miles for £20,000!!! The rust has been repaired.
I can see an ultra low mileage car perhaps making that but not a high miler.

But those are really into the territory of having to choose between the one or two that are on the market if you really want one.
