What a load of crap. That looks bloody awful. Is that wood even treated? I hope it isn't still standing when a gale comes, incase it collapses on your car. Then you'll really regret this folly. Have you not even considered your neighbours? How would you feel if they dumped a smelly caravan on their drive and you had to look at it every day?
Yes, despite the nice area, it's all a bit 'council'.

Black pickup. Check!
Council dog. Check!
Security lights, that probably annoy the neighbours too. Check!

Those type of people don't consider anyone.
And block paving covering every cm of front garden... smile
You set of s laugh

No planning for this bad boy lol neigbours are going to be pleased!!!!
If I was your neighbour if be pleased, I'd rather look at that trailer than the monstrosity of a car that's going inside it.

Few observations.
This thread is superb, but
1) Lordbenny, I'm with gaz1234 - How is that possible given what we know....?! Brilliant detective work.
2) Love your comments, mp3manager - 'council dog'...I'm still laughing
3) I go with PositronicRay - I think the dog is looking at the neighbours who are pointing at the carport AGAIN
4) I love the car - I very nearly 'pulled the trigger' on getting one a while back - in that colour, too
P/heads at its best.... smilesmile

I take it you've never been to Germany then.
Car ports of similar design in front of the house are very common there.

Although it's not particularly pleasing to the eye I really don't see what the problem is , it is after all situated on the OP's property and the council and his neighbours should mind their own business.
Er, the control of development, including unauthorised development like this, IS the Council's business, it's a statutory duty vested in them. As for the neighbours, they have a right to comment if they feel the structure is affecting their amenity.

Exactly, it is a mess and doesn't even cover the car properly.

And it had the added bonus of covering that amazingly hideous vehicle with a cover, much better.

garage 2260mm wide car 1943mm wide id have to drive in with roof down and climb out ! recipe for disaster the way i reverse.
Right, so you have 150+ mm a side. Park close to the left wall, put carpet on the right hand wall so you don't damage your door and stop being a retard.

Unless you're very fat of course.

In fact, even better. Screw some chocks to the floor, push car into garage, chocks behind rear wheels. Problem solved.

There are brick piers halfway down which loses another 200 mm Not worth it you would be a "retard" to try !
