The annual £12 4l tubs of oil deal is on now as well... Nice bonus if your car takes 7.5l of fully synth like mine. Stocked up for the year, happy days!
Will the Trade Card discount apply to offer prices like this?

I have found that if you try to apply the trade card discount, they revert the item to normal price then add the card discount. It generally works out to be more expensive than the offer; no harm in trying though.

Well I am partially pissed off 'cos they first when I arrived said the order had been cancelled because of non-collection. I said I was advised on the website that it wasn't available until the 30th (just like others on here). They had one but wanted £160 for it but they'd honour the offer as it stood when I ordered it on 21st - £79.99. It was in the past offers archive on their computer system as being current across the 21st so I could choose between a fool's errand and paying a tenner more than I expected. I chose the second and am not complaining because I know from experience that the stuff is good quality especially at that price. Halford's computer system behaves as if is second hand from one of New Labour's cancelled IT projects!

They told me the 30th but then rang and said it was ready for collection on Boxing day as they'd ordered it in. The extra 10% off was on the 90 piece set I think. The 120 set was on Halfords ebay site for £80 too.

I reserved the axle stands online for collection, currently at £10.
When I went to collect them the following day they couldn't find the one set the computer said were in stock, so gave me the 3 tonne ones for the same price. Bonus.

Exactly the same happened to me as well.

And judging by your username I suspect it was the same store.

Went to pick my socket set up today. Had problems as they couldn't find my order number on the system.

Girl behind counter very helpful though and found a set for me. She had to ring her manager for authorisation though and for some reason he didn't believe the price was as ordered. Had to show proof of my order confirmation email to get the set at the reduced price. Odd.

There seems to be poor communication to the stores of online offers - I had the same experience ordering a tool chest bundle which included a top box, intermediate box and roll cab for £249 - the manager didn't believe it wasn't the more common offer which only has two of the items for that price.

I had the same when I reserved a tyre on-line for my mountain bike. The guys in the store knew nothing about it, and seemed mystified by the reduced price.

They reluctantly honoured it.

It's something Halfords should address.

Sounds like it's a general business problem. Should indeed be sorted.

There often let down by the online to store communications but always find the staff in stores very helpful.

After having been obliged to pay £79.99 for mine, I emailed Halfords HQ and complained that I'd fulfilled the requirements of the £60 'on the day' offer by ordering for collection, received a text message, and been advised that I could collect on 30th December. They deny all knowledge not only of the order (despite the text with order number and branch location which I forwarded to them as a photograph of my phone screen) but also said they have no record of any £60 offer. As I did not receive an email in confirmation they will not honour the offer.

Has any one a copy of the email acknowledging their order placed on 21st December for the 120 piece set at £60? If so can you please forward it to me (suitably redacted of personal details of course) so I can show Halfords that the offer did exist and was accepted at £60? I will PM my email address to anyone who can help. Okay it's petty for a mere £20 but I object to large companies riding roughshod over customers who are deprived of offers due entirely to Halfords (in this case) incompetence.

i ordered 3 cans of oil xmas eve from thier sale , 3 weeks later they email and say its out of stock and wont be getting anymore

i think thats more like not getting any more for that price , really a major motorist store cant supply a can of normal motor oil ?

shoddy way to run a buisness imo , couldve offered me collect at a store or an alternate oil but no

Utterly bizarre that they don't seem to know about their website deals. I'm glad the girl who sorted my order out believed me, even though her manager didn't initially.

If anyone wants this socket set, I bought one for £60, purely because it was cheap. It's sat in the garage, with it's receipt, since before christmas and I've not even broken the tape on the box. As I already have the 150pc one I really can't see me using it if i have not already. hehe

Happy to sell it anyone for what I paid! I'm in Leicester but travel all over the country for work.

I didn't really need one either but for £60 it didn't matter I had most of the stuff already. It will probably be £60 again soon.
