As some of you may be aware through another thread I'm going through a bit of a rough time in hospital right now following some surgery which didn't quite go to plan... But the other day I was landed with the best part of 20 get well and Xmas cards from various PHers and the PH team themselves.

I believe it was a member 0a from the barge thread who suggested the idea, and cards were sent to my mates house (who is also on PH) and he brought them in.

Absolutely made my day, what a fantastic community this place is. I know we're largely strangers on the Internet but I've met a fair few of you, seen some lovely cars and made some friends on here. Here's to hoping I make a full recovery, get driving again and get back to more Sunday Service meetings!

Thanks once again.

Didn't know about your issues, but glad you are on the mend and a lovely gesture from the people here.

I too missed the card giving, but seeing as I have met you Ross, and your Large Barge covered my numberplate, and therefore Speeding Fine, I owe you. Anything I can do, please just say

You are in our thoughts, Ross. Recovery is a long process, but you will get there. It can be frustrating, since improvement can be gradual and so not so noticeable as it would be if it took place in steps. You are strong and determined; you'll get there!

I also thought it was a kind thing 0a did in organising cards. Both touching - and appropriate! It is marvellous to see you back in the smoker barge thread, Ross. It has missed you!
