I'd take current / outgoing one, with a manual box and tune it to 640 or beyond.

I just love the simplicity of this - presumably, you just pop the bonnet, get a little screwdriver and twiddle about with it until 640 horsepower comes out, then you nip the lock-nut down and bob's your uncle.

Previous gen car has a S/C engine and bearing in mind US is all about tweaking cars I don't think it would be too difficult to find a kit or tuner.
