Many years ago my dad had a white Lancia thema 16v turbo, one day returning back to the carpark where it was parked, he got in, drove about half a mile down the road before realising that it wasnt his car! He went back to the carpark to find his Thema a couple of spaces down! What's the chances of the key fitting another car hey!

My car seems to have found a "mate". The 2nd time this week it's been parked next to the same model

Kept ending up next to this one at work

Slight cheat here as it was at an MX-5 OC meet

Got countless ones of the Landy from various shows over the years

No pick as I was driving and not quite parking next to the same model. However I was on the motorway recently and managed to make a chronological convoy of V70s, my S reg up to a 64 plate. It made me smile.

Outside my mum's house there used to be two almost identical blue Fiat Puntos and two actually identical VW Touaregs parked. It took me a while to spot them together so I thought I was going mad as the plates kept changing. Only once did I see them all together. I was hoping some sort of magic was happening but I never came out to an extra Volvo Amazon or Audi 80.

That's worrying. Does anyone know what the actual odds are of two cars having the same locks?

The key part of that post, though, is "many years ago".

My mum used to have a Vauxhall Viva, which, when both parents were out, could be opened, started, and driven without a key at all. My brother and I simply used an old butter knife that mum kept on the kitchen windowsill (outside) for use in the garden. The car eventually moved behind the house when it broke down, awaiting "doing up" by my dad, but it never moved again. Finally, it was scraped up into a trailer, mostly with a dustpan and brush, such was the state of it in the end.

Only this morning I was explaining the chances of posting on this thread with my little Fiat were slim to none.

Fast forward to just now, I park next to one in Redditch!?

From a few weeks ago, parked next to another late 'classic' impreza wagon

Recon they came over on the same boat?
My impreza's number plate is Y826 UKO freaky.

Over 21 years after they were registered. One owner was told that his car started out as a demonstrator, the reality is that they both started out as hire cars with Europcar.

Haven't actually seen the opportunity to do this yet... have waved at plenty of other minis but nothing doing.
What I do instead is park next to much larger cars for amusement...

All Legaceys, all white and all Jap import GT-Bs. One is an e-tune, but this was genuinely by chance. Mine is in the middle.
